Great Ormond Street Receive Donation Via Lestercast Visitors
A monetary donation has been made by Lestercast by means of the ’41 Club’ to an extremely worthwhile benefactor, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
As a well-established UK manufacturer, we recently offered our facilities to the members of the Trent Valley Ex-Tablers ‘41 Club’ – a stem of the Round Table, to meet for the day.
With a tour of our Investment Casting facilities and factory, the club kindly offered a donation to be given to the charity of our choice for use of our facilities. Great Ormond Street was selected for our donation and gladly made the donation on behalf of the group.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s mission is to enhance Great Ormond Street Hospital’s (GOSH) ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people, giving them the best chance to fulfil their potential.
A small donation can go a long way with Great Ormond Street:
£10 could help pay for bricks, paint and everything else we need to make spacious new bedrooms as part of the hospital’s redevelopment plans
£20 could help us pay for specialist equipment to help our researchers better understand children’s DNA
£50 could pay for a parent to stay overnight in our family accommodation unit while their child is at GOSH
£100 could cover the costs of one of our play team for a whole day
For Information, the ‘41 Club’ was formed in 1945 to provide a way for members of Round Table to continue their friendships after retirement from the Round Table at the then obligatory age of 40. This was for men and women to discuss business and assert themselves in the workplace with like-minded professionals.
