Don’t Hold Back On Your First Aid Training

First Aid training was conducted recently at the Lestercast premises where 26 office and shop floor staff were given a course in Manual Handling.
Conducted by the CPA, the voluntary three-hour course covered the following topics:-
Health and safety
Anatomy and spinal disorders
Manual handling techniques
Risk reduction
Neil Townsend our Works Manager says:-
“We take the safety of our workforce very seriously, certainly in terms of health and safety. The undertaking of the course encourages the workforce to look after themselves both in the workplace and at home when they’re lifting heavy or awkward objects for example. ”
